Renee and Clarissa ~ Breastfeeding at Home in Sandy, UT

breastfeeding

"Breastfeeding is the most normal, natural and yet phenomenal thing in the world.  Something I've felt with the birth of each of my children is that it is such an amazing feeling to know all my baby needs to survive is the air and me.  Although Clarissa and I are past that stage in our nursing relationship, I not only have a fabulous bond with my child, but a mothering tool like none other.  I plan to continue to nurse until she outgrows the need." ~Renee, mama to 23 month old Clarissa

  4. GORGEOUS! I nursed triplets until 13 months & one of them continued until 20 months. It was a beautiful experience & one I will miss for the rest of my life. Thank you for taking these pictures!

  6. Your pictures are beautiful. As are your ideas about breastfeeding. But have you considered the implications of these ideas for women who are unable to breastfeed? Because their babies are too premature, or because their milk does not come in? Seems there is always something for women to be missing out on - first it is marriage that changes your life, then children...now breastfeeding? I would love to see some ideas about respecting the women who, by fate or by choice, do not breastfeed. And still have remarkable, special, breath taking moments with their babies every day.

  7. anonymous-- I acknowledge and have compassion for mothers who for whatever reason cannot breastfeed, but this blog is about breastfeeding. Its goal is to celebrate breastfeeding. I'm not here to make women who don't breastfeed feel guilty or bad. I'm here to encourage more women to nurse their babies, even when its hard and to show how beautiful it is. I don't want to turn this into a place of debate. I don't want to get into "mommy war" discussions. There are plenty of other places for that on the web.

    Thanks for visiting!

This blog is not intended as a place to debate breastfeeding. There are plenty of other forums on the web for that. It is a place to celebrate breastfeeding. Only positive comments will be posted. Thanks!
