Brie and Claire ~ Breastfeeding at Gardner Villiage in West Jordan, UT

breastfeeding

"My nursing relationship with my daughter almost didn't happen. In part because of our early struggles, I cherish each and every moment that I breastfeed her. Even when it's the tenth time since she's gone to bed, and she keeps waking up if I unlatch her, I can still smile because I know that it's a miracle and that this is what she needs right now. She needs me. And it won't be like that forever. But for the moment, as I nurse my sweet little girl to sleep, peace and joy wash over us and all is right with the world." ~Brie, mama to 10 month old Claire

Looking at this beautiful pair now, you wouldn't know that they had a rough start breastfeeding. What an inspiration to other moms and babies who have a hard time at first. To read more about Brie and Claire's nursing journey, see Brie's blog here.

  4. So lovely. Each and every gesture and look in these pictures looks familiar to me. I have an 8 month old daughter who does all those same things while nursing. It's funny how so many things are universal when it comes to little ones.

This blog is not intended as a place to debate breastfeeding. There are plenty of other forums on the web for that. It is a place to celebrate breastfeeding. Only positive comments will be posted. Thanks!
