"When I was growing up, I didn't give any thought to how my babies would eat. It wasn't until I was pregnant that I decided that I wanted to breastfeed. Starting at 4 months pregnant, I started attending LLL meetings so that I would have information and know who to call if I did run into troubles with breastfeeding. When my daughter was born, things went fairly smoothly. Besides massive engorgement and some mastitis and a picky latcher, it worked out well. The first place I breastfed in public was a Burger King, shortly followed by Babies R Us and Best Buy. Since, I've nursed everywhere and anywhere: the library, on airplanes, at church, in an LDS temple, at a water park, while walking down the street, even at Facebook headquarters for a nurse-in. I've never covered or left a room to nurse, even now that my nursling is 2 and my pregnant belly is getting larger by the day. I hope that we can change the way women's bodies are viewed as we nurse in our day to day lives." ~Heather, mama to 2 year old Margaret
