breastfeeding

"One of my greatest gifts as a mother has been the honor of nursing my two children. After twenty years as a career woman I started my family at age forty. I can honestly say, I didn't know what to expect with motherhood but I didn't realize I would love and appreciate the experience of breastfeeding as much as I do. I nursed my daughter, Ella until she was two and a half. My son, Kai was born when I was 45 years old. Today, he's two years old and still nursing. As a 47 year old mother I'm grateful that I'm able to nurse him and that we're both thriving physically and emotionally. I believe our bond gets stronger with every nursing session.

"Even when life is at its busiest the one thing I am always willing to make time for is nursing. I know this precious stage of Kai's development will one day come to an end just as a Season passes but I don't want to rush it." ~Michelle, mama to Kai, 13 months old at time of photos

This blog is not intended as a place to debate breastfeeding. There are plenty of other forums on the web for that. It is a place to celebrate breastfeeding. Only positive comments will be posted. Thanks!
